Membership
The National Black MBA Association, Inc. membership is composed of MBA's, business leaders, entrepreneurs and business students whose mission is to lead in the creation of economic and intellectual wealth for the African-American community.
Membership is based on the National guidelines and there are four types of membership:
- Full membership $125
- Associate membership $125
- Student membership $60
- Lifetime membership $1,000 (can be paid in three yearly installments of $350)
Membership runs 12 consecutive months from your start date. For example, if your start date is October 15, 2004, the membership will expire October 14, 2005. Dues are paid annually unless you are a Full or Associate Lifetime Member.
Full membership is available to individuals who hold a MBA degree or an advanced degree in any particular field (MA, MS, MPA, MHA, JD, PhD, etc.).
Associate membership is any professional without a graduate degree but is distinguished in business because of management experience or entrepreneurship.
Student membership is available to individuals who are pursuing an advanced education in any particular field. Student memberships can only be renewed twice and student members can’t hold a position on the Executive Committee. Proof of enrollment must be provided with the application.
Lifetime membership is available to individuals who hold an MBA degree, an advanced management degree or have distinguished themselves in business through their management or entrepreneurial endeavors and is willing to make the financial commitment. Lifetime memberships are considered annual memberships until paid-in-full.
